In a hardly shocking turn of events for Michelle Branch, the Arizona-born singer/songwriter has found herself in hot water yet again.
Nashville Police confirmed to TMZ that Branch was arrested outside her Nashville home in the early hours of this morning. The arrest takes place almost twelve months to the day that Branch was arrested for assaulting Black Keys drummer and father of her children, Patrick Carney. Yikes.
Concerned neighbors called police to Branch's Belle Meade home just after 11pm Nashville time, where witnesses claim Branch and Wreckers bandmate Jessica Harp were arguing loudly in the driveway. One witness claims both Branch and Harp seemed drunk, while another tells TMZ, "it was all Michelle. She was out of her mind, drunk and screaming in the other girl's face." The same source claims Branch was "all up in the blonde's face, yelling and crying."
What was the fight about, you ask? Certainly not creative differences on the recently-teased sophomore Wreckers release. Oh no, far from. One neighbor tells TMZ that Branch was "hysterical, accusing the other girl of sleeping with her boyfriend."
While we can't confirm or deny the theory, an anonymous submission to DeuxMoi earlier this morning seemingly confirms the nosy neighbor's story, claiming the fight was about none other than Michelle's ex-or-whatever Taylor Hanson. The submitter claims the Nashville music community have been whispering about an alleged affair between Taylor and Jessica "for months, maybe years now." We still haven't forgotten about his unhinged Instagram post back in May so this absolutely tracks. What, does he have beer flavored nipples or something?
Police reports cite Branch was free to go home after all charges were dropped at 6:30am this morning.
Branch rose to fame in the early 2000's with her debut album The Spirit Room and collabs with Santana. Branch is also currently amidst a messy divorce proceeding with Carney.
